He was a little bit shocked to come back and see that Dragonfly was there! He was a bit lucky to have met Joshua before he left, so that got him to know that sometimes, people get put inside a book (or in Fox's case, on a vacation with Dream) and that they're replaced. It was a kind of big shock to come back from Coyoteventure to find out that Silk Cat was gone. She was one of the members of Coral that he felt the closest to, so finding out she was gone really got to him. But he wasn't going to let this affect any sort of relationship he would have with Dragonfly.

You're on Coral, so that's instant +10 to like right there off the bat. The more he talks to Dragonfly, the more he likes him, more or less, plus Dragonfly seems to get along well with the rest of Coral, so that's even more like right there. Banjou does hope to get to know him better, but there is the worry in the back of his head now that as soon as they start to get closer, one of them might go away. It's not a conscious fear, but on that is here nonetheless.
