HE WOULD BE DEVASTATED. Some of his most positive Aather experiences are when Dragonfly admitted to trusting him and he's cherished that and has done his damnedest not to break it ever since. OTOH he'd understand that it would be fully deserved, so he wouldn't hold it against Dragonfly as much as he would constantly beat himself up for it. Lately Kit has been feeling pretty decent about his place on the team and his ability to take care of Coral, especially since he hasn't had any major fuck ups for a pretty long time, so messing up that badly would take him back to the days when he felt like the WORST TEAMMATE who didn't know HOW TO TEAM and it would just. Be a pretty big backslide for him :'D

Probably something bright and beautiful and you can still see the beauty of it. Like a ballroom with glass windows everywhere and rich curtains, bright colors and flowers and it smells good and all that. Piano music in the background, etc.

And then you can see everything is smashed to bits. Windows shattered, chairs thrown over, chandeliers broken, things thrown around and ripped apart and every single door is locked and Hikaru is sitting in the center, all alone, ignoring everything.

Trying to clean up the room would result in getting something heavy thrown at you and knocking you off your feet.

JEALOUSY......... because Kit knows Hikaru is a little dependent on Kaoru and he knows that Hikaru would spend a lot of time with Kaoru! But in Aather Kit has become kind of dependent on Hikaru in return so someone arriving who also has the codependent brotherly thing going on with Hikaru would make him worry about where he stood with his teammate. .-. ON THE OTHER HAND, he'd know that the jealous would be unfounded and completely unfair, so he would probably slink back to give the Hitachiin twins some space! And ultimately the jealousy wouldn't last long, especially not if he got some affirmation that Hikaru still cared because he is confident enough in his relationship with Hikaru to know that they are important to each other. SO AFTER THAT INITIAL JEALOUSY he'd settle in to him being in Aather pretty quickly and would do his damnedest to make sure Kaoru isn't hurt.

PROBABLY, since he did get back the memory of Ran yelling for him in the rain, so he could frame it in a way that isn't related to Kid. But he wouldn't do it right away :|a And he'd have to do it strategically... in a way to keep him from making the WHOOPS THIS KID ON CORAL IS KAITOU KID connection.

Kaoru is the twin and will forever be the twin. He's his other half! And that will never change no matter what happens. There is literally absolutely no one that could replace his brother because they were always together since they were born. They have a very special connection to the point where they did EVERYTHING TOGETHER.

On a more detailed note, Kaoru is the one that keeps Hikaru in check. He's the observant brother! The bully brother! The manipulative but thoughtful and more mature brother! So he's really sort of a secret caretaker as well '-' However Hikaru still takes care of him in the end because he's still the big bro!

Kit is sort of a placeholder? Mmm, sort of like the one that managed to take Kaoru's place and keep some sort of balance for Hikaru without his bro. It's important since Hikaru and Kaoru are connected at the hip so without Kaoru, Hikaru would not be able to cope. WHAT IS CODEPENDENCY. So yes, Kit and Kaoru are both people Hikaru can attach to to satisfy that codependecy issue.

The biggets contrast is that no matter what, Hikaru is still going to treat Kaoru like a younger brother and will ALWAYS be the big bro to him while Kit is raelly the older brother between him and Hikaru >:|a

THAT WAS REALLY INCOHERENT SORRY ILU.

Three issues that Kit has in aather, RIGHT NOW.

1) He had his first amnesia identity crisis...... in which he realized he is capable of stabbing someone in revenge if he really wanted to. IT KIND OF SCARED HIM so now he's a little nervous about the kinds of things he can do and the kind of person Aather made him. It's making him psyduck a bit but in comparison this issue is smaller than the others.

2) HE IS REALLY ANGRY. Between all of the bad games and the bookings of his favorite people he is just so sick and tired of Aather's system. This kind of actually manifests more in exhaustion because so much stuff has been happening that he can't bring himself to be pissed about it all at once because it wears him out. SO HE JUST... IS TIRED ABOUT IT. Granted he has determination to keep going despite the anger/exhaustion? But it's still there.

3) He's repressing all of the above and more :( With no proper outlets. So it just builds and builds and presses against the surface and cracks until his stepfording isn't as useful as it was before. And it'll keep building the longer he doesn't acknowledge it.

THREE ISSUES HIKARU HAS IN AATHER RIGHT NOW?

1) LEO IS WITH JABBERWOCK WHY IS HE WITH JABBERWOCK WHY IS MY BOYFRIEND SO STUPIIIIIIIID

2) ALL THE GAMES ARE TERRIBLE WHY ARE THEY TERRIBLE WHY ARE PEOPLE GETTING HURT AND BURNED ALIVE I WANTED TO LIKE THIS PLACE THEY HAVE NICE CLOTHES AND HOUSES BUT NOW IT'S JUST TERRIBLE 8(

3) What will happen when it is his time to leave? Will he go home back to his brother and friends? But what about Leo? What about Coral? His friends? Tamaki's still here. What about this place that apparently he's been working "so hard" to fight for? Is he not going to see to the very end? But even after that, what is he going to do? Leo plans to stay here with Elliot, is he going to leave them behind? What if he CAN'T find Kit back home--

Basically a lot of goodending fears. '-' He wants to do what's right, but at the same time he isn't sure what that is yet. He knows he has to follow his heart and that it is okay to separate from his brother and grow his own way but this is a whole separate world we're talking about :|;; So yeah. LOTS OF GOODENDING ISSUES ESP. SINCE HE'S STARTING TO REALIZE HE'S ONE OF THE OLDEST HERE...

CONTINUE ON AS USUAL. At this point he absolutely can't leave, even with memories. Aoko is in the book, he has Coral to look out for, and there is so much unfinished business in Aather that he wants to see through to the very end. He would throw a fit if Beauty told him that she could send him home or that he could stay as a Legacy Hero because he doesn't want any of that-- especially since Legacy Heroes can't play in games. SO IF BEAUTY CAME TO SEE HIM HE'D JUST BE LIKE "NOPE GO AWAY I DON'T WANT THIS LEAVE ME ALONE!11"

What would Hikaru do if Kit did good end before him?
