CONFUSING TO SAY THE LEAST.

I mean she came into Aather with this attitude of "GOD THIS GUY IS A JERK FOR IGNORING ME, WHAT A RUDE GUY," but she soon quickly realized that this guy is totally different from the guy in her memory! I mean they're the same but the memory does not match up with the real thing. So why is she so mad for him ignoring her? WHY would he ignore her especially since he's pretty polite in person? MEMORY MYSTERIES! It gives her enough incentive to work towards in recovering the memories at least.

BUT AS A PERSON, a pretty polite fellow, always seems to be around for some odd reason, and it is kind of a nice feeling to have someone familiar with her world nearby! '^'

REVERSE.

NOT SO CONFUSING ON HIS END but there is a lot of /psyduck.

Kit has remembered enough of Ran to kind of rebuild what he knows of her in canon back up in Aather, which is to say that he actually doesn't really know much about her at all! He's aware she's a detective's daughter, that she's sort of involved with Shinichi ~romantically~, and that she is taking care of Shinichi while he is stuck in Conan form (which, he imagines, is filled with awkward). He also knows she is dreadfully frightening at times and very capable, and she is probably nnnot someone he really wants to piss off. All in all though he's pretty disconnected with her in his memories, and before she showed up in Aather he didn't really think much about her.

HE IS very /psyduck over her arriving though, because she is the first one from his world besides him to be dumped in Aather. Because she's from his world and because he sort of knows her, he does have the desire to look out for her (as sort of a favor-ish though not really since Conan isn't here to his favorite detective rival) which is why he's kind of ALWAYS THERE right now. He wants to make sure she settles in! He wants to ensure that she gets along well with her team and that things aren't quiiite so confusing. It's the least he could do.

ESPECIALLY SINCE HE'S LYING TO HER :'D Which he feels sort of bad about because amnesia sucks, and he knows he'd want anyone who knew him to speak up about what they knew about him despite their own comfort levels. But, especially since she has awkward opinions on how terrible Kaitou Kid is, he doesn't really feel like he can divulge his secret identity to her. It is a secret identity for a reason after all .-. Thus why he pretends he doesn't remember her at all.

All in all though, he likes her so far. SHE'S PRETTY NICE, he knows she's capable, and although it's still her first day she seems to be doing all right. She's also managed to ping a few of his grumpy argumentative buttons with how she wheeled on him when she first arrived (which is something not many people in Aather do), which is always ace |Da He will forever be confused as to why she feels like she was calling out to him (and still isn't sure whether it was him or Shinichi she was calling out to), but he's decide to table that issue for the time being due to ambiguity and amnesia and focus on the more pressing issues of her arrival.

TL;DR JET'S KIND OF COOL, HER APPEARING IS KIND OF STRESSFUL DUE TO SECRET IDENTITY COMPLICATIONS SO LYING IS SORT OF A BIG THING, BUT HE'S TRYING WITH HER.

... how do you think Hikaru would take dying a second time in Aather, if it ever happened again? :|a?

Like his nerves have been quite on edge even though it doesn't show on the surface. There have been a couple of NEAR-DEATHS there and some threats made to his team as of recent so it really makes him nervous! He doesn't WANT to die. He definitely doesn't want his teammates to die! He still remembers that last experience and it was pretty awful, but at least there was something to PROTECT. He can reassure himself that he chose it and was able to save people because of it. And seeing what the darkness could do? Yeah, he doesn't REGRET IT.

I imagine the next time he dies, it will be . . . yeah. It probably won't have that to sort of . So he'll probably be a bit broken for a couple of days as he tries to regain himself, but it would scar him pretty permanently especially since he's relatively happy and feels kinda-sorta safe (the darkness attack shook him up). It might even bring up the divide between Hikaru and Dragonfly again but idk. '-'

HOW ABOUT YOU KIT. :U What if you were forced to die vs getting caught in a sticky situation? Like with Hound's death.

Kit has died twice in Aatheeeer so far: once in Beauty's self sacrifice game, and once due to a series of terrible decisions in heart game. He's also suffered pleeenty of near deaths both in canon and in Aather, i.e. darkness cave exploration where he was nearly killed by monsters, nearly drowning at home, etc etc. Plus, he has come to believe that death is a very pervasive theme in his team, sssso needles to say he's kind of developed a complex about death and dying (just wait until that complex becomes worse because of his dad). TOP ALL OF THAT ONTO A PILE OF SHAKY INSECURITIES (that have been mitigated a bit thanks to his talk with Hakuren and his STUBBORN DETERMINATION), and him still feeling tired and terrible and guilty after the darkness event and... yes.

It wouldn't go so well for Kit, either. He wouldn't break, per se, because he's tough and he has it in his head that he's not allowed to break. But it wouldn't be good for him and he'd be emotionally drained for a while, even if he was trying to keep up the smile and nod and continue on thing he has going. His stress would probably be a lot more visible on the surface than it is now (and as he is right now, there are already cracks in his poker face that indicate how tired he is that show up every so often), and I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere in between it all he'd need an on-screen freak out or. Something. To release it all.

Though the circumstances surrounding said death would matter a lot too. Kit really hates dying and sort of has a complex about it, buuut he's still very stupidly self-sacrificial and reckless... so if he had to choose to die for his team (without a way out) he'd do it in a heartbeat. If he had to choose to jump into a dangerous situation a la Hound did with the knowledge that he could die, he'd do that in a heartbeat too. It wouldn't be good on him, but he feels like he could take it better than any of the current members of Coral (except for Rabbit). He is slowly beginning to learn that he has to take care of himself better though so such decisions would not be taken lightly-- and he probably wouldn't jump on them right away without finding some sort of non-death, non-injury solutions. But he'd still be more than willing to allow himself to break a little more in favor of keeping his teammates mentally healthy.

Gosh '-' I think it really depends on who gets trauma'd, what causes the trauma, and when the game happens in terms of memories and stuff. Like my best guess is that she'll become FIERCELY PROTECTIVE OVER HER TEAM. Like ridiculously so. Whether that applies to being wary over other teams depends on whether teams are willing to shank each other, that sort of thing. I imagine though that she'll be fuming either way while crying at the same time.

... beyond that, he'd cling during revival and allow Hikaru to inevitably cling to him when revival is over. He'd also be pretty livid and be looking for someone/something to yell at/hit, and while he'd probably go for the Persona first, if it was a death caused by another team there would definitely be some bitterness/anger there, too. ALL IN ALL HE WOULD NOT BE A HAPPY PERSON and this is where I realize that Kit hasn't had any teammates actually die on him in Aather without him dying alongside him... whups. (Which is why he hasn't had this livid, angry reaction yet '-').

Okay, now I said he'd break for a few days in the last one.

This . . . would probably cause him to break. For a very long time . . . 8'D Like he wouldn't leave Coral cabin ever, he wouldn't answer doors, he'd probably hate it if they left the cabin, and I doubt he'd even sleep in the same bed. Like he would probably PUSH his bed against Kit's just so he wouldn't feel as alone. Anybody being booked would feel like a failure on his part and would just continue to spiral into sad.

I WOULD PROBABLY NEED A HEART GAME TO FIX IT TBH. These are things his canon does NOT prepare him for so it would be devastating for him.

WORST CASE SCENARIO FOR KIT RIGHT NOW. I mean in any form. Could be trauma, could be relationships breaking, anything.

Hikaru being booked, another death, oooor a murder game, all of which would affect him in pretty bad ways. |Da

THAT'S NOT A HAPPY QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well I guess it's a mix but there is a LOT OF SADNESS GOING INTO THIS.

KK made him feel loved, made him feel like he had a family here, and this is such a huge step considering his own life at home, having a family scares him to pieces but it makes him so happy, he could cry.

Natsume will always love KK. There was just something very special about her that seriously brought Emerald . . . I wouldn't say closer because they do that on their own, but she made their walls break down a bit. They didn't feel so pressured to keep a face, and they could enjoy themselves and even let loose because that is what KK was. Someone that made them feel comfortable. And this definitely applied to Natsume through and through.

And losing that will be very hard. AND IT IS MAKING ME CRY THINKING ABOUT IT.

Oh also one more thing is that it will make Natsume want to do his best to keep Emerald together without her. I think Emerald will all feel that way. GOTTA KEEP ON TRUCKIN' AND THERE IS STILL A BOAT ON THE ROOF OF EMERALD, Y-YAY . . .

Do you think Kit would fit on any other team alright?

I doooo! I think Kit would've done fairly well on Sapphire seeing as they are a very independent team that isn't riddled with FEELINGS, but can be very supportive of each other when feelings do come up. His canon morals would have aligned with Sapphire's more, as would his propensity to run into traffic, his individuality, and his determination to keep on going even after he trips. So I think he would've done pretty well there!

I also think he probably would've done decently on Turquoise simply because Turquoise is team DON'T CARE ABOUT THE RULES LET'S FUCK OFF INSTEAD and he does that a lot in canon already :U

Ditto question for Hikaru and Natsume!

Hikaru would be ok with Kunzite I think and maaaaaybe Turq, but lol I think he really was made for Coral. Ditto with Natsume. NATSUME IS THE PERFECT EMERALD and EMERALD FITS HIM. I would wait six months if it meant he'd get on that team, no lie. He would be okay with Amethyst too though, but I think having an ayakashi on Emerald helps.

Sorry back to trauma questions. They're easier.

What would be some of Kit's trigger points with trauma? Like what kind of things would bother him the most (breaking bones, fingernail ripping, etc)?

G-gosh, any type of extended torture would hit his worst pings, I think. Like, he can handle pain and injuries acquired during the course of like... adventuring, or even something like SUDDENLY STABBED or SUDDENLY SHOT WITH AN ARROW. But something that requires extended periods of him being strapped down and messed with would reeeeeally set him off. It wouldn't be so much the pain as it would be the helplessness involved in the situation (he's a control freak and needs to actually be able to do things, so if someone tried to take that away from him he would paniiiic) and I think that kind of trauma would mess with him the most 8|a EVEN IF HE TRIED TO BE A DEFIANT "YOU CAN'T BREAK MEEEE" SHOUNEN THE ENTIRE TIME. Which he would do 'cause he's Kit.

For Hikaru, probably any sort of physical mutilation? Burns, scarring, digging holes out of the face, THINGS THAT LEAVE A PERMANENT MARK. For one, being pretty, rich etc was HIM. That is a thing with him. It is his identity! The one he's trying to regain! But then he'd always feel like people could see the ugliness and he'd always be ashamed. AND MIRRORS WOULD ALWAYS REMIND HIM OF THAT SORT OF PAIN BECAUSE THE SCARS WILL ALWAYS BE THERE.

Just a lot of bad things.

Natsume's would always be mental damage that would freak him out, no matter what. Lock him up in a room and convince him that he'll be alone forever? That he'll never be able to escape? THAT WOULD PROBABLY BREAK HIM HARD.

I THINK HE WOULD BE A BAD RUBY... since Ruby has issues he would just add to by being terrible at team :'D I don't really think any team would be bad for him as much as he would be bad for certain teams, which in turn would probably affect him in negative ways... IF THAT MAKES SENSE. :|a

Which teams would Hikaru, Natsume and Ran choose to partner with if Aather suddenly had a PARTNER TEAM system?

Hikaru would probably want to choose Kunzite! But he also would be okay with Sapphire or Emerald since he is pretty sure the team would go towards Emerald, and Sapphire is just cool.

Natsume would just go with whatever the team chose. Which again, would prob be Coral lol.

Helio would probably end up with Coral since three teammembers have connections to Coral although CHURCH MIGHT BE GRUMP so we'd end up with Turq or Sapph instead MAYBE.
