Impressions for Lightning '^'

I think Natsume and Sasuke works well because they don't try to push each other very hard, but they don't naturally pull away either. There is sort of this interesting dynamic where they respect each others boundaries but they don't blatantly stay away from them! That's why I think Natsume finds Sasuke an actual calming presence compared to some of the other residents in Aather. :|a Liiike . . .

Natsume doesn't feel pressure. He never feels like he HAS to talk to Sasuke about his feelings, thoughts, etc which is actually a positive! For some people, they'd think "oh maybe he's not interested in me :(" but for Natsume, he thinks more like "oh he is like me and doesn't want to talk about those things either". After all, he has no reason to believe that Sasuke DOESN'T like him. He'll say hello without being prompted, he'll tell Natsume to follow him to help him out of a sticky situation, his body language doesn't say "EW GO AWAY keeping my distance from you" etc etc.

So yes! He does indeed like Sasuke and can def. see why Stealth values him so much as a bro. :> He is a very lucky fellow.

TL;DR INTIMIDATING BUT NICE.

No seriously, he thinks Naha is a pretty nice lady! She has a very positive attitude towards her team, seems happy that Natsume values her teammates, and on top of that, she was nice enough to invite him over to Ruby. '^' So yes! He does have a positive impression on her!

HOWEVER. There is this slight intimidation that comes with it. I am not sure what exactly it is that pings him as intimidating but I think it is probably the way she carries herself and her speech. She does seem to be the type to be OBSERVING and Natsume is really bad with social pings so he honestly has no idea what she's thinking! He can only hope it's good things cuz she has that look to her that she's confident and will tell you if she is displeased '-'; scary intimidating auuuuuuraaaaaaaaa.

REVERSE.

Generally positive. He seems sort of shy and sensitive, which isn't necessarily her type, but he also seems like a good kid, and he likes her team, and Tavros likes him, and Stealth has mentioned him positively before, which contributes to a general willingness to extend welcome and even a little affection.

Also, he's cute. With his shyness and sensitivity. '-'

It's similar with Sasuke. He doesn't feel pressured to talk around him, which in turn makes him more comfortable around him. There's also the fact he was the only member of Emerald that seemed to be COMPETENT in a way during the time he was FULL OF HATE against them, so that helped a lot. Now, Sasuke is very aware that Natsume is conflicted about his memories and that it's not something he wishes to talk about, so he won't ask or pressure for now. He might eventually ask if they talk more to the point Sasuke decides he wants to know and see if Natsume would want to talk about it, but Natsume's respect for his own privacy and communication problems is what makes him a lot less likely to.

He finds weird that people puts value on him, so him being nice or making obvious attempts at suggesting they're friends is going to make him quiet, but it's hard to be a dick to Natsume . . . So it's very likely he will continue to do random, sort of nice things sometimes and then pretend he didn't do them in the first place.

THE NEW STUFF IS PRETTY SIMPLE AND TIES IN WITH HEART.

He is actually super surprised that there was so much that he didn't know about Drift. He feels really crummy about it actually! Probably because Drift ALWAYS asks about Natsume, but there was so much that Drift was hiding and Natsume didn't try hard enough to figure out what HIS feelings were. :( SO THERE IS JUST A BIT OF SADNESS THAT HE DIDN'T KNOW THAT DRIFT WAS GOING THROUGH SOMETHING TERRIBLE (outside of knowing his heart was messed up).

HOWEVER, HE IS SO GLAD IT LOOKS LIKE THEY DID SOMETHING TO FIX DRIFT. Part of him still feels bad because he feels like that going through his heart was basically just redoing what they did in the first place. Changing something that shouldn't be changed through those means. However, the heart itself gave permission so he doesn't feel AS bad.

He doesn't know how to deal with the extra tsun but it brings out grumpy natsume so its a good sign.

OVERALL, HE HAS LOTS OF FEELINGS FOR DRIFT '^' BFF BFF BFF

Natsume doesn't mind the ship as much! It's kind of a symbolic gesture of his feelings though even if he doesn't see it that way. Change is an important step for HIS character arc and it's especially ESPECIALLY important in his arc in aather. They are sailing along, away from another realm to a new one! And it feels like Emerald in general. They are also in the middle of a great change with the new members, possibly new ideals, a new home, etc. Bonten's comment about how "it had just started to feel like home" about three's realm is very symbolic of Natsume's feelings! But it is time to move on. :( The ship has sailed for a new change.

NEVER AGAIN. Legit, half of the reason he did it was because he was pretty terrified! He hid it as best as he could and just did what he could. I mean the other half was that Saya SEEMED JUST LIKE HERSELF. And there was this mixed feeling of "god, this is a skill. it's not REALLY her fault RIGHT and she isn't a mean girl . . . "

But at the same time, eldritch abomination. CAN'T...REALLY...NOT BE AFRAID. HE'D RATHER NOT GIVE YOU ONE ANYTIME SOON but if you asked for another one, he wouldn't say no...

NEEDS MORE PEOPLE IN AATHER WHO ACTUALLY UNDERSTANDS FASHION!! Thus he really does like Lambda already! She's bouncy, knows how to be mischievous, and has the same kind of curiosity that he does! This is a good friendship, and if we were to be partners in a game, Hikaru would not mind at all. Plus she likes cute clothes and can appreciate his skill and that's always a bonus.

There's also this sort of deredere feels towards kunzite. He has always liked Kunzite and while they might not be the closest of teams, he will always want to protect kunzite if he can. Like in the last game, Hikaru voiced that he wanted to make sure Shes was okay cuz his votes were low! He likes Shes! Not allowed to die!! If it was some other team, he might not have voiced it out, but with Kunzite, he will.

CUTE AND AWKWARD!!!

Like they both had sort of this awkward start (I do believe Lightning started with a DEATH GAME but I forget) and had trouble really talking to one another so trying to overcome that hurdle has been a little difficult! I mean it's not like they didn't talk, but it was hard like . . . actually expressing themselves at one another outside of surface chat. But I think Natsume at this point feels like he can finally start to open up to Lightning a bit! The kitten bonding definitely helped for one. '-' But also seeing her react to her sister helped as well! It feels like she's more personable now I guess you might say? It's like the really rigid wall has finally become more flexible. Hikaru loves Marine for a reason that is relatively unique to her. FINALLY SOMEONE THAT IS ON HIS BRAIN WAVELENGTH. It's kind of like feeling forever alone in a fandom while everyone else kind of blathers on about their own. It might be interesting to hear! It might be something you like even! But it's not the fandom that you really love! It gets kind of lonely, right? Well then HERE IS MARINE WHO KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT HIS FANDOM. Ran adores Marine for similar but different reasons! They are again quite similar! They're both emotional, loud, and kind of punchy! They're very opinionated and aren't afraid to hold back with their thoughts and they love to have fun and joke around. THEY'RE SUPER SWEET AND ARE JUST KIND OF CUTE AND ADORABLE. Ran especially likes to think of Marine as a little sis that wants to help everyone out. :3c STILL LOVING MARIIIIIIIINE.

This is the shortest reverse reply because it is basically DITTO ALL OF THAT. It's been constant friendship and support and dumb things and '^' BEST FRIEND (except for teito but teito is teito)

AND MIKAGE LOVES VISITING CORAL. It's hugely significant to him when a team invites him to visit their cabin, because that's the team's space! It's their safe, private place and he's still unsure about visiting team cabins- he's only really been in Amethyst and Coral, and when he's at Amethyst he's very careful about not overstaying his welcome '-' BUT ANY DISCOMFORT WITH CORAL HAS BEEN CRUSHED. Dragonfly was the first person to invite him to a cabin, Shark keeps kidnapping him, they offer to feed him, and and and gosh. If he had a place to sleep he would probably end up sleeping there half the week. SO YES, ALL OF THAT SYMBOLISM DRAGONFLY IS PICKING UP ON FROM THE KEY IS ENTIRELY ACCURATE.

Also after the squid battle Shark told him to go take a nap in Coral's area (with the threat of 'if you don't nap, I'll tell Dragonfly') so he'll just be spending every night on ship in Coral's area okay.

Actually, I waffled on apping her at first! I had first considered it back in, hm, January or February, I think, but sort of discarded the idea because I thought she might be a little too unconventional and difficult a character to play in an amnesia game. I ended up apping a completely different character in March, in fact. Buuut I got to thinking about how interesting it could be to play her in that kind of situation and that I really wanted to see where it could go even if I would be a little bit flying by the seat of my pants, so I threw caution to the wind and switched out my app. Beyond that, Lambda has been my primary character for the past two years and my immediate fallback when I think I might want to app at a game—she hits a ridiculous amount of my pings and is actually the first character I've played that just clicked with me in the sense that "yess i just want to play you all the time!!" She has a lot of range for me to play with, from goofy, stupid threads to badtouch sadism to serious, DEEP discussions, and I am just really interested in picking apart her character to the point where I could talk about her pretty much forever. I never get bored of playing her!

Are there any other characters you would want to app if you didn't play three?

Lighting would grudgingly admit to liking Natsume! It would be easier for her to express that in terms of protection; like whenever a remotely dangerous game comes up Lighting is both sure herself and expresses to the other 'grown ups' (usually Stealth) that if it comes down to it she fully expects that Natsume (and now Battler and Alice) will stand facing the corner with their eyes closed and their ears covered and hum a nice little song or something.

Which okay, is maybe kind of insulting, especially considering that Natsume has been here way longer than Lightning. And slightly counter to every yelling fit she's had about death games, but w/e w/e. The take away there is that she's concerned with his well being and wants him to be safe '^'

The more they do actually interact with each other and talk, the more likely it is that Lightning will start to see him less as like... person who just needs her protection and more like someone she could actually have a back-and-forth kind of relationship with. Also it's not like she doesn't think well of him that makes her keep him in the 'to protect' pile... more like she can't see herself as having more of a use to him than that. IT'S NOT YOU IT'S ME and such.

But yes. She likes his animals. And having the kitten around makes it easier in general for her to relax a little. You can't yell in front of a kitten, gosh.

If you were going to quest for yet another animal, what would it be?

Natsume really really likes Pascal! I think part of it is that Pascal often reminds him of himself. '-' I also think Amethyst and Emerald has sort of similarities themselves by being more reserved teams (just Amethyst has a bit more sanity to them obv) so that only adds to some of the parallels. I think at this point, Natsume really wants to try to talk to Pascal beyond just friendly pleasantries but at the same time, that is pretty difficult for him! It's an issue that he's trying to overcome actually, but he does enjoy Pascal a lot and would consider him as one of his favorite people in aather. :( Maybe he'll ask and see if he's doing okay after the Odile incident later if the situation allows it.

He actually really likes Amethyst as a team overall though he worries about them after Odile's game. :|;; He doesn't think Teito is completely in the wrong for feeling upset (because he also got yelled at for similar things in his canon rofl) but the extremity of that yelling was kind of scary SO HE JUST WANTS TO CHECK UP ON HIM! :( We can play with my kitten ok ok.

Kazuki kazuki kazuki! He likes Kazuki! He likes Kazuki MORE knowing that he has a double! He also dislikes Kazuki more because his double is in aather and Hikaru's isn't. :E But that doesn't change the fact that Kazuki is somewhere in his top five favorite knights list! He just loves a guy that isn't uptight and can loosen up and joke around with him, and it actually worries him when Kazuki didn't in the makeover thread. BROTHER TROUBLES?!?! He was a little irked that Kazuki kept quiet about it but that's always been an issue with Dragonfly and Coral so he tries not to let it get to him :E! Either way though, he adores Kazuki and will let him visit Coral forever and ever.

Especially if he and Mikado have been sharing ~secrets~ :3c (which honestly he has no idea what he and Mikado have been doing. He only knows that whatever it is, it makes Mikado squeak out hilarious sounds).

Also lol Teito. (dance_okok) Hikaru just assumes you're kind of married to Mikage whether you like it or not. Like Hikaru does think of Mikage as his aather bff but he knows that really, Teito is Teito and he could never take Teito's spot and that's okay!! After all, Hikaru has Tamaki so he understands those feels. The difference is that Teito is competent and grumpy while Tamaki is an idiot. :> But basically, if you're that important to Mikage, it means you are a good person and no matter how much he picks on you, he respects you!

It's kind of like having a much more hyperactive, diet version of Effie around which is something that helps fill the void in Heliodor I think. She really loved Fuck so losing him was surprisingly really sad! So having TK there kind of helped.

She does feel bad that she considers TK as sort of a replacement and wants to try to get to know him on a more personal level later so she'll stop doing that. She just misses Effie very much. :(

TK as a whole seems to be someone that is grumpy and short-tempered but at the same time, likes laughing and punching things so. HE JUST FITS WITH HELIODOR REALLY WELL and she will do her best to help him integrate. :B

Kazuki likes Hikaru a lot!! For many of the same reasons Hikaru has for liking Kazuki, they just both like to be silly and joke along. This is also a guy who at least vaguely seems to understand Kazuki's issues with Haruki without it, y'know, having to be said! Even if it irked Hikaru that Kazuki didn't want to talk about it (though unlike Coral, this was more about pride and the accumulation of a bad week than ~wanting to protect~ or w/e, ) Kazuki did really appreciate that Hikaru didn't press about it and tried to joke along and gave him a new haircut. Thanks bro, you were cool even when I was shitty company. '-' At some later point he might... actually say this... maybe.

AS FOR TEITO he does not hate Hikaru or anything, he's just annoyed by him! But he recognizes Hikaru and Mikage are the same breed of person, tho they express things differently, he just wants to make it clear he does not suffer teasing well. :T It's the same with Mikage too. And in his own way, he will do damage back if need be if it's getting too much for him-- e.g. be very grumpy, ignore, and have Mikage walk away with him. He knows Hikaru is an important friend to Mikage though and doesn't mind their relationship.

Just don't drag me into teasing and expect me to like it. :T

SAYA HAS BEEN UPSET BY THE PEOPLE WHO SCREAMED AT HER (ironic, given she... deliberately terrifies ~~and eats them~~ in canon) and she's convinced that Dragonfly is stupid because of that. But he also gave her a makeover so he was forgiven.

Overall though, most people's reactions have been very positive. She got some warning from Lloyd that people might freak out but it'll be okay if she wore a ribbon...And people have been freaking out less than expected! And she's had way more people stand up for her and say they'd handle anyone who was mean to her than people actually causing problems. And the popularity contest game just cemented the fact that people love Saya, no matter what kind of body Saya has. EVERYONE IS REALLY NICE IN AATHER. *^*

Yes, he loves you very much darn it. '-' I mean in general, you are coral. All corals start off with a pink dot (on the relationship dot scale) so it's very kind of hard NOT to love you. However, after the rocky fight they had, that only solidified everything. Gave reason for the love!

Seriously, that is how Hikaru works. He was very close-minded in canon and did not want to include other people but he learns to branch out! And because of branching out, he got into his first fight with his brother. After getting into his first fight with his bro and became frands again, he ended up growing as a character. This little bit of his story is why HAVING FIGHTS ARE IMPORTANT for him in terms of relationships.

He's a very childish person who can be very, very selfish and sometimes fights are necessary for him to grow PAST that. The fight with Mikado did that too. Mind you, he doesn't feel bad, but it did help him to grow in a different way and that is what is important. Being able to grow up and fix those problems, that's important.

IT MEANS THEY ARE CLOSE ENOUGH TO OVERCOME WHATEVER OBSTACLE IS GIVEN TO THEM. A real friendship is just that. Not just a nice happy path of fluff but storming a rocky path together. '^' So yes he loves Mikado alot.

Pascal loev Natsume '-'b at this point he feels very at ease with him and very definitely considers him a good friend. He's comfortable with Natsume. He's been anxious and jittery with his team for awhile now because of all the difficulties they've been having (and his being right at the center of a lot of it), and even more so now that things kind of hit a tipping point and he seriously upset them :') So he was mostly avoiding Amethyst while on the ship because aaaa I'm terrible aaaa they're angry aaaaaa I'll look at Teito funny and he'll kill himself, but feels perfectly comfortable and natural and okay approaching Natsume.

Basically Natsume is one of the few people he really relaxes around and worries less with.

He also gets something of an 'oh, we're alike' vibe from Natsume. He's definitely gotten the impression that there are issues or difficulties there, though he has no idea to what degree, but he has a very strict rule of memories and feelings are private and this person will share them with me if they want, so he won't push.

Natsume is just one of the people he can go hang out with right now and feel like everything is okay and normal and ttly fine '-'

RAN IS SCARY. But he actually has a lot of respect for her already because she is so forward and IN YOUR FACE. That's something he can appreciate about someone, and it's something he appreciates about Heliodor as a whole right now, too. He doesn't know her super well, but despite being so forward and tough she seems like a nice girl underneath that exterior. Well he likes Gingerbread Witch because she basically pings him in the childhood—at point he really was a starving orphan with a sweet tooth. So her obsession with feeding people is pretty cool to Yuri, who also has adeveloped a Thing about cooking, in Aather. He loves cooking for the people he loves; Gingerbread Witch let me cook you something :3

Does he think there's maybe a liiittle sinister about it? Yeah, but it's not enough to worry him, really. He thinks she's probably one of the more reasonable of the Persona.

DRIFT'S FEELINGS ARE KIND OF ALL OVER THE PLACE h-he doesn't know what to do with them!! NATSUME IS KIND OF A. thing. because like just before the game there was kissing bingo! And while Drift initially approached it as a throw-away "yes I will make myself feel worse" thing, he ended up vvvvaguely realizing that -- well, either he likes kissing Natsume, or he's attracted to him, or both! Fortunately he tsunsploded and ran away before he had to confront himself about that :'Da GOOD DECISISIONS

After the heart! gosh. DRIFT IS OVERALL A MUCH HEALTHIER PERSON and more capable of dealing with and organizing his own feelings, even if he doesn't act like it. Despite the fact that Drift has a huge amount of both platonic feelings and also some weird crush feelings, he's able to keep them separate enough so as not to feel like he's ruining their friendship (again) with awkfeelings.

ACTUALLY RE: NATSUME! H... he really likes Natsume, JUST AS A PERSON WHO EXISTS, he really really adores him and heart game solidified him as just someone he really loves and cares about, even just in the platonic sense. HE HAS ALL THIS NATSUMEDERE and he's super super happy Natsume came to his heart and tried to fix things .o. There are still some "but this person is too good for me!!" feelings but mostly he just wants to roll in tsuntsuntsunderederederedere feelings for winter /)///(\ s-stupid winter!! Drift had fledgling crush feelings for Natsume prior to the heart which were really only awakened by the kissing, but he quashed those down pretty well while they were friend broken up! Then Natsume accidentally fanned those flames a bit '^' IT'S STILL REALLY TINY AND NOT VERY DOMINANT but it... exists, and he's vaguely aware of it (he can become properly aware of it if he examines himself, but he's too tsun to atm). There was no real such thing as a HOT OR NOT on the Natsume hotness scale and tbh it's still not there? Like he can recognize someone being very beautiful! And he isn't like ridic. naive about the subject (there was a panel of him talking about "magazines") so it's not like he isn't a teenage boy with no hormones whatsover.

It's just that he never really understood what love was until pretty recently. :|a And we're talking about familial love and friendship love okay. Like seriously, he went without for so long to the point where he sometimes thought he didn't deserve it but now that he has it, HE'S SO FOCUSED ON THAT that romance never even was an option before. How can you let yourself get close to someone if you don't believe you deserve that, you know?

Aather sort of helped to give him a bit more confidence and belonging so he CAN think of things like that. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A VERY LONG TIME TBH but then heart game things happened. Before that, Tree Kissing happened (and even before that, Hisoka ksising happened in a game). These were good things but he never knew how to react to them! Aaaaaand then the Drift kisses happened. '-' Which sort of evolved from just good things to "oh so this is why people kiss".

THE 6/7 IS A RELATIVELY AVERAGE NUMBER RIGHT? Well, that is because now Drift is sort of . . . like the baseline of "how attraction should be"! Because that was the first kiss that he sort of liked on a more physical scale! A lot of it was backed up by EMOTIONAL FEELINGS WITH DRIFT tho so its' not quite really "hotness" so much as just FEELINGS ATTRACTION but yes.

If it doesn't feel like this, the lower the scale. If it feels like this, then higher! '^' So yes HE HAS SOME ATTRACTIONS, maybe a possible maybe sorta crush but it is still very much a bb blossom because again, Natsume and love is still a very difficult subject to surpass and it is harder the more memories he gets.
