Human!Mikage is super silly and it brings out the silly in him! I mention this to all his silly friends but THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO HIKARU because Aather kind of traumatized him for a bit 8D I mean while Aather is not constantly dark, dark, dark, the events that happened so far, he never got to experience that in his canon! So it makes him really sad and not wanting to trust this place whatsoever, but Mikage and others help to uplift his spirits a lot. So you are a very important person to him! YOU'RE A REAL PAL, I WOULD GET NAKED WITH YOU ANYDAY.

Outside of castmates, Hikaru is EASILY one of Mikage's favorite people. FRIEND!!
The silly thing is actually a big part of it for him too. Talking to a lot of friendly, casual people and leftover babydragon mindset has had Mikage figure out pretty quickly how to just be silly and have fun, but he has a lot of hidden insecurity going on. All of his human memories have had Mikage being confident! and inspired! and he had a ~♥~best friend~♥~ ...and aather!Mikage feels like he hasn't been living up to the potential of who he was before, and it builds on lingering issues from his first few days in Aather when some people would react negatively to the babydragon thing (challenging him for explanations, treating him much more coolly than Burupya, etc.). He's found people he can pal around with, but with that lingering doubt and in comparision to ~TEITO~ most of them feel kind of shallow, and he's not too confident about his knighthood either.
Hikaru was reliably fun to dork around with, and Mikage has hardly had to force any cheeriness with him, and he adapted to the babydragon thing quickly. And uses Burupya for cuddle therapy! YAY I'M BEING USEFUL!! So Hikaru was already generally great, but then he went and became the first person outside canonmates to directly acknowledge Mikage as a friend ;-; And he invited human!Mikage to Coral that one time, which as Mikage said in that thread, he'd never really been in anyone's cabin other than as Burupya. So Hikaru has pretty effectively countered some of his issues and established himself as one of the more important people in Aather.
What this also means is that whenever he gets a severely upsetting memory (ONLY A MATTER OF TIME, WHAT WITH THAT MURDERED THING), Hikaru will be the one he goes to after Hakuren or Konatsu.

If Mikage wanted to stay as a dragon outside of games/big unlocks, he could with some effort. In his earlier days he wondered if other people would prefer that since the babydragon seemed more popular/trusted and the majority of his memories were dragon's, but he's since decided that nope 8| y'all are just going to have to like all of me 8| And being human all the time would just be too weird for him. A lot of the babydragon carries over! example: climbing through the window in your heart meme, because windows = doors to cats and babydragons.

YOUR ROOM IS PINK. That is a good color. Pink = coral = IMPORTANT TO ME. Basically he sees Mikage as sort of as an extension to being a person of Coral since his worldview is Coral vs Aather!

PILLOWS ARE GREAT FUN and so are lots of colors! MIKAGE IS FUN SO YAY FUN. They're also soft and easy to hug. Hence why Dragon Mikage is in the pillow. HE IS FUN AND CUTE AND LOTS OF HUGS GO TO HIM. I think if you looked inside the pillow on the bed, there would be a human!mikage squeak toy. THAT IS BECAUSE THE BED REPRESENTS TRUE FEELINGS in a way. Cuz he is most likely to cry/think alot about stuff in his own bed at home SO BASICALLY, HE FEEELS like he can be true to yoooou.

GOSH FOREVER. He looooooooves his bro, he remembers it quite clearly! However while he does miss him, he feels a little awkward about it too. Because the last memory he got back OF Kaoru, Kaoru had hurt him really bad! But...he can't remember why it hurts. :| Just that he felt sort of betrayed by his own bro AND THAT KIND OF SUCKS. Lots of confusion there, but he still loves his bro either way and he misses him greatly. :c

The three that I've considered apping are Yamato/Kaito from Souya's canon, Shirakawa Yuki from di[e]ce), and Atori from Noein. I was going to app Yamato earlier, but then the summer turned out to be busier than I thought, I apped Mikage, and then the semester got terrible with studying. MAYBE THIS WINTER--!
My bias for Mikage is always towards Kunzite or Coral so I could have a pink dragon on a pink team, and he would probably do well there. Turquoise could suit him too. WORST team to put him on would be Citrine or Iolite.
I think Kunzite would be a really good fit actually! I imagine Autumn and Mikage shenanigans and it is ridic cute. KANJI WOULD WANT TO HUG HIM 24/7 '-' I CAN SEE IT. IT'S GREAT.
